HALLOWEEN TRUNK-OR-TREAT

It’s that time again! Get out your paint and spookiest craft supplies! The CHS PTO invites all CHS students to enter our 5th Annual Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Contest, to help us “grow” our own CHS Pumpkin Patch!

To enter the contest, please:

  • Drop off your decorated (not carved) pumpkin outside the CHS front entrance in the correct grade-specific section of the display on Monday, October 28th or Tuesday, October 29th. CHS teachers and staff will vote on pumpkins on Wednesday, October 30th.

  • Complete this brief FORM by 4pm Tuesday, October 29th.

You’ll be able to pick your pumpkins up from the display after the Halloween Parades on October 31st, just in time to celebrate Halloween at home!

Judging Categories

  • Most Creative

  • Most School Spirit

  • Scariest

  • Funniest

Winners will be selected in all grade levels. CHS Teachers and Staff will have a chance to view the entries on Wednesday, October 30th and will vote on their favorites in the 4 categories. All pumpkins will be on display at the Halloween Parades! Each winner will be recognized and receive a gift card.

Contest Rules

1.) Pumpkins may not be carved or hollowed out. We want all of these great pumpkins to last through the Halloween parades! Designs CAN be etched into surface.

2.) Please, no pumpkins over 20 pounds.

3.) The pumpkin should be crafted at home using materials such as paint, beads, fabric, feathers, clothing, recycled materials etc. Paint it, dress it, accessorize it, but DON’T CARVE IT!

4.) All entrants MUST write their Name and Grade on the bottom of their pumpkin in permanent marker. One entry per student.

5.) Submissions must be done by students, not parents.

5.) Complete this FORM, which must be submitted to be included in the voting contest.

6.) Pumpkins can be picked up after the completion of the Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 31st. The CHS PTO reserves the right to dispose of any pumpkins that remain at CHS beyond November 1st.
